Spanning Traditional and Modern Energetic Medicine
THROUGHOUT the past several thousand years, millions more people were
helped
by acupuncture and Oriental medicine than possibly by all other modalities.
After the lifting of the "bamboo curtain" in the United States following
President Nixon's visit to the People's Republic of China in 1972, America was
awakened to the vast body of healing knowledge and tradition of China. And thus
began the quest to learn, understand, practice, apply, research and evaluate
acupuncture and the energetic anatomy. To disseminate the results of that
experience the American Journal of Acupuncture was created in
1973.

As the landmark forum for the acupuncture profession, the American Journal
of Acupuncture is the most widely read, peer-reviewed, English-language
acupuncture and Oriental medicine journal in the world.
